A Day in the Meadow
Shepherd David
Once upon a time, in a peaceful meadow, there was a young shepherd named David. David loved playing his harp while watching over his sheep. His music was so beautiful that even the birds would stop to listen. David's best friend was a brave wolf with a leather collar around his neck. Together, they kept the sheep safe and happy.

One sunny afternoon, David met a boy named Robbin. Robbin was three years older than David and had short blonde hair. He was curious about the wonderful harp music he heard from afar. David welcomed Robbin and showed him how to play the harp. Robbin was delighted and promised to visit more often.

One day, as David and Robbin were enjoying music in the meadow, a little girl appeared. Her name was Little Red Riding Hood, and she had long brown hair. She was on her way to visit her grandmother and heard the enchanting music. Little Red Riding Hood asked if she could join them. David and Robbin gladly welcomed her.

The three friends sat by a bubbling stream, sharing stories and laughter. David spoke of his adventures with the brave wolf. Robbin shared tales of his travels and the places he wished to see. Little Red Riding Hood told them about her grandmother's lovely cottage in the woods. They all listened intently, learning from each other's stories.

Inspired by their stories, David picked up his harp and played a new melody. It was a tune about friendship and adventure. Robbin and Little Red Riding Hood clapped along, filling the meadow with joy. Even the sheep seemed to dance to the music. The wolf wagged his tail happily, enjoying the cheerful scene.

As the sun began to set, the wolf suddenly stood alert. A shadowy figure appeared at the edge of the meadow. It was a mischievous fox trying to sneak up on the sheep. David, Robbin, and Little Red Riding Hood quickly stood together with the wolf. Their bravery scared the fox away, keeping the sheep safe.

With the danger gone, the friends sat back down, relieved and happy. Little Red Riding Hood promised to visit again with treats from her grandmother. Robbin promised to bring new stories from his travels. David promised to compose a special song for their next meeting. They all agreed that friendship made them stronger.

As the stars twinkled above, the friends said their goodbyes. They knew the meadow was a special place where they could always meet. The wolf howled a gentle goodbye, and the sheep settled down to sleep. David, Robbin, and Little Red Riding Hood waved to each other as they headed home. They knew their friendship would last forever.
