Diwali this year!

Anni was excited, Diwali was near. She danced and sang, spreading cheer. She told her friends, 'Let’s make this bright!' They all agreed, 'It’ll be a delight!'

Anni helped her mom, cleaning every room. They dusted and swept with a big broom. 'A clean house brings joy,' Anni said with glee. 'Yes, it does,' her mom agreed happily.

Anni got colors, bright and bold. She made a rangoli, a sight to behold. Her friends helped, adding their touch. 'This will be beautiful!' they said as such.

Anni and her friends went to the shop. They bought sweets, they couldn’t stop. 'Laddoos and jalebis, so yummy!' Anni smiled and rubbed her tummy.

As the sun set, they lit the diyas. The flickering lights brought happy sighs. 'Diwali is here with lights so bright,' Anni whispered, 'What a lovely sight!'

They burst fireworks, colors filled the sky. Anni and her friends watched, eyes so high. 'This is the best Diwali ever!' Anni said. 'Yes, it is,' her friends nodded their head.

Anni gave gifts to all her friends. 'Diwali joy never ends!' They exchanged hugs and gifts with cheer. 'This is the best time of year!'

The night was filled with laughter and light. Anni’s heart was happy and light. 'Diwali is special, full of love and cheer,' Anni whispered, 'I wish it every year!'
